Ashley Z. Kimble

My name is Ashley Z. Kimble. I am a writer, communications strategist, and administrative professional doing business as Leyāzon. In my role as Leyāzon, I partner with individuals and organizations to develop authentic messaging, strategic communications plans, and administrative solutions that help cultivate more meaningful connections.

In 2011, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies with a focus in Journalism from Shorter University in Rome, GA. However, I must admit, the most impressive lessons I’ve learned have come from being not only a student of life, but of myself. Studying my own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors — and how they influence my experiences and perspectives — has been the most eye opening and rewarding course I’ve ever taken. This awareness of my own humanity is also what informs the work I do in my career. Much of what I contribute, within both personal and professional spaces, are reflections of my empathetic, intuitive, inquisitive, and diplomatic nature. I help others by helping them find their way with words, ideas, and problem-solving.

Throughout my 10+ years of experience serving in administrative and communications roles, I have encountered a diverse array of corporate structures, operations, and cultures. Providing organizational and communications support to a vast collective; from individual contributor level employees, people leaders and directors, to HR business partners and executive leadership; has allowed me to observe, analyze, and understand the roles, expectations, and motivations of various types of business people and scenarios. To be aware of an environment and how to speak to the needs of the people within it has become one of my strongest aptitudes.

My most recent accomplishments in the corporate realm include creating a consistent, sought-after internal communications platform within a rapidly growing and evolving organizational unit; developing and executing a successful employee engagement campaign to accommodate the transition between remote and in-office working structures; and successfully coordinating four large in and out-of-state conferences.

Sensitivity is the foundation of my approach to writing and communication. I have a unique ability to see, hear, feel, and depict reality in a way that speaks the language of the sender to the receiver, which is what sets me and my work apart from others. Fun fact: (in case you were wondering)  “Leyāzon” is my own personal remix and phonetic play on the word liaison. Combining the last three letters of my first name + my first and middle initials (then adding -on to the end to make it a noun) created the name Ley • āz • on, a moniker which serves as a reflection of who I am and what I do: connect the dots between heart, mind, and matter.
